Darien Strachan

Darien is a diligent and skilled  leader with a passion for problem solving, communications, and learning new things. Darien obtained his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College  Park in May 2018. Currently, Darien is  a Senior Technology Analyst at Accenture and serves as the lead in Accenture’s DC African American Resource Group.

While attending the University of Maryland, Darien’s campus involvement included:

• Center of Minorities in Science and Engineering 

• National Science Foundation - Research

• Black Engineers Society 

• Caribbean Student Association 

• For the People Organization - CEO 

• Do Better  

After graduation, Darien accepted a position with Accenture. He is involved in their African American Employee Resource Group and Recruiting. He is also the CEO of Yawd Jerk, LLC. Darien is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi and served as president for the Theta Theta Chapter at UMD.

Darien serves as the Outreach Liaison for the BTX Foundation.
