Friedrich Alvarez
Friedrich Alvarez is a sophomore Electrical Engineering major, seeking a double minor in Robotics and Autonomous Systems and Project Management. He has interned with CMSE, transitioning from a summer Bridge Mentor to a year-round Program Assistant while also being a tutor for the Bridge 2023 cohort. Currently, he is involved in the Robotics @ Maryland club, Terraformers, building a Mars Rover for the Canadian International Rover Challenge. He is also the Project Manager for IEEE, and leading a joint project with IEEE and WIE to design the WIE Are Makers technical workshop aimed at providing technical experience to middle schoolers of underrepresented backgrounds in STEM. He plan to do research this upcoming summer through the ECE department with the hopes of partaking in the LSAMP Undergraduate Research Program.
