Paul Brown-Taylor is a senior Civil and Environmental Engineering major at the university focusing on Environmental and Water Resources. He is currently a Resident Assistant in Oakland Hall and a member of the Theta Theta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. He interned at DC Water for two summers where he aided civil engineers rehabilitating water pumping stations and operated AutoCAD and GIS software to design water pipe networks for neighborhoods in the District of Columbia. Last summer, he interned at Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. where he collaborated with other interns to respond to a Request for Proposal for a sustainable mixed-use building. He is excited to say that he will be interning with Kimley-Horn again this summer at their Virginia Beach office working with their water and wastewater team. In his spare time, he mentors middle school and high school students in DC's Ward 8 on their path to college and give tips on how to be successful in school while informing them about environmental issues in their community and how to fix them. He loves sustainability, giving back to the Black community, and mentoring young people to get them to where he is today.

He love going on hikes, kayaking, and going on adventures.
